Mini Bible study journal

There are several facebook groups about bible journaling that I am part of.  Creative Worship Bible Journaling is one of my favorite. It is sponsored by my sweet friend Korin that I got to meet this last summer.  My long time cyber friend Diane helps with bible studies for the group. A lot of the ladies have been altering index cards for  a journal. I don't have the supplies to make them so I did what I do best. I decided to work with what I have and have fun with it.  in 2015 I made a little art journal that had little pages that were 2"x2.5" I decided to make another one using those dimensions.  Here is what I have so far in my little journal.

I took a couple of my monotype prints  to make this journal. I added white with a gel pen and
preview-abstractoats

The first set of cards was for the October study on how God never changes.
I tried some fancy lettering.  I had fun with this style.
This is one of the key verses.

I like this one that had the word HOLY 3 times. 3 Times for God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit.  but  also for the past the present and the future.

For the Next set of card for the November Study on Harvesting Righteousness I started with another monotype and I used a white gel pen and

preview-peacockfeathers
The peacock feathers stencil was used on the backside of the print. Well the side I added the barley to was really the backside, but what happens often with my monotypes is I end up really liking the random print from cleaning off my brayer.

The back side of this card is a different color than all the rest. It started like them, but I messed up with the black pen I was using. As with a lot of social platforms mistakes are often not shared, so as an attempt to be transparent, I am sharing my mistakes with this journal. Why I love mono printing with my gel plate, is there is never a mistake. You can always add another layer. I added a layer of purple and teal and it covered over my mistake.

This is how the mistake looked. I tried to just cover it with white paint but you could still see the mistake underneath. So that is when I just did a monotype print over it.

This card with the little bit of blue is maybe my favorite of this set.

I hope you  are inspired with my little journal.
