I made a mono print and ARTplorations Curved Play Stencil.

Because there were some places that didn't pull with the print. I traced around where the stencil was and I added some gel stick to fill them in.

When I put it in my journal I added a scrap piece that I had used to clean my gel press and brayer. I think it made a great background. I added gilding flakes to the corners.

Recently most of my artwork has been put into my bible/art journal. I made this print starting with blue and green paint then adding the wow with orang yellow and pink and

It is easily becoming my favorite stencil to use.

I put a black background in the journal and  white gel pen for the background. On the print I used a black sharpie marker to write the scripture.

Wait for the Lord

This song sung by Shane and Shane  "I will wait for you"
based off of Psalm 130 was running around in my head.
As I was watching a friend's craft video I was playing along with the colors she used. Thanks Keri for the inspiration. Not my usual colors.  I scribbled and wrote the lyrics from the chorus on the pages.

I did that to both sides of this layout. This layout in my bible/ Junk /art journal was made by putting two bill envelopes open and back to back. I also added a smaller part of another envelope to be in the center. It gave me lots of places to journal.

I sprayed the gel stick scribbles with water and moved the pigment around. Then I used my gel press and ARTploration ALL BLOOMS stencil

Because of the fold in the envelopes you can see a previous page on the back of the left panel.

Left side. I drew the letters, then painted them white and then added stripes then changed my mind and tried to paint them white again. I kinda like the subtle texture that the stripes add.

The little journaling pages in the middle.

Back page, when I used my heat gun to dry melted the little envelope window, so I covered it with a piece of scrap paper. Looks like it was meant to be there.

STAMPlorations 6th Giving Thanks Bloghop and giveaway

To make my Gratitude Tag Album I started by die cutting tags out of my stash of unused monoprints.

I use CUTploration  Manila Tags Nesting Dies

The cover for my album was made with

I used it to cut one of my mono prints and then I backed it with white to make the cut print stand out.

There are a lot of resources that you can use to make a list to be grateful for. I saw one at

They have a free download
.However, I choose to just write the list on the back of my pumpkin tag.

I am using this opportunity to work on my lettering as well as journaling and working on being grateful. So I am keeping it simple. The word for the day lettered on the front of the tag, letting the monoprint be the star. I am then handwriting the scripture on the back of the tag.

Since I used prints from my stash, I didn't always remember which ARTploration Stencils were used on every tag. I took a photo of the ones that I knew which stencil was used.

Bee kind and compassionate to one another

In my Bible junk/art journal.
I got to a folded out page from my church bulletin.

The small folded over page. I  went and covered with white paint.

Then I scribbled over the page with kingart gel sticks

I spayed with water and tapped with my fingers to make them blend together.

I then collaged some scrap papers

Honeycomb stencil. stamped bees and flowers. Hand lettering.

Next page opens out to the 3 sections. Covered them with white paint.

Scribbled with kingart gel sticks

Again I sprayed with water and tapped with fingers to blend
