STAMPlorations Typografia Romantique projects

MyThanks for joining us for the STAMPlorations release of TYPOGRAFIA ROMANTIQUE

I have three fun projects to share with you.

My first project was an easel card. I started with this
dp that was sitting on my desk.

I stamped the sentiment added used tea bags, handmade roses, a branch and a die cut heart. I added glitter to the die cut heart as well as the stamped hearts. To finish it off I added three little pearls.

Here is the set I used for this first card.

For my second project, I made a cute little bookmark. My daughter is a librarian and I am always making her bookmarks that she can give away to students at her library. I was going for a
Kilroy look alike.

I used CUTplorations Tag 'O Coffee die and cut out a tag. I stamped the sentiment onto the tag. I then die cut a large circle and small circle. out of peach cardstock. I also cut a heart out.
I cut the small circle in half to make his hands. I used a pen to draw lines on the hands and to make his smile. Then I glued the giant wiggle eyes down to the circle. I also glued the hands and the big circle to the tag. I made it look like he was holding the heart too.

I placed the eyes at an uneven level so that his face would have more expression.

This is the stamp set I used for this bookmark.

And this is the die I used for this bookmark.

My last project was probably my favorite of the three to make.
For this card I only used white cardstock.
I used ARTplorations stencil called Delicate Leaves.
I used two different crayola markers to trace the stencil onto the white
cardstock. I then ink spray smashed the panel and splattered ink
and stamped on of the silhouetted butterflies from
STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies with distress ink.
I also used a retired STAMPlorations set called mini mixed media backgrounds to add the music notes.
I then stamped the sentiment and that is when the fun began.
I took white acrylic paint and added highlights to the sentiment. You could use a white gel pen and probably get the same look. The white highlights make it look like I hand lettered when all I did was add a little bit of white. This really cool typografia sentiment makes it so easy to look like a lettering professional.

Combined challenge card.

This is a card that I made for 3 Splitcoaststampers challenges.
First challenge is the Friday Free for All challenge.  F4A418
The challenge was to recycle - repurpose. I used a page from an old
encyclopedia set. I also recycled used tea bags behind my tea cup. I used an old stamp set
which in a way is almost like recycling. The second challenge was for the 500th Mother Mark Teaparty Tuesday. MMTPT500
That challenge was to use a mode of transportation. I used dp that had a bicycle on it.

I started by gluing the torn encyclopedia page down. I then added gesso
How it looked with the gesso spread out.

I then glued scraps that were on my desk from a card I made last night.
(kinda recycling too)

I then stenciled and sprayed with a bottle of water.

How it looked sprayed. I then added some distressed ink (Vintage Photo)

I added some white acrylic paint as highlights and I splattered the background with the same white paint. I also added gold metallic rub.
I stamped and added definition with a black pen. I adhered the used tea bags with a brad. I also wrapped the card with twine.

I added the cup and the tea bag and thought I was done. But decided that it was missing something. Can you tell what I thought was missing? Look at last photo to see.

Did you guess or see what I thought was missing. I felt that the tea cup needed a white highlight to match the rest of the card.

You are loved

Card I made today for 2 different challenges. #1 the color challenge CC675 at Splitcoaststampers

and #2 for Tuesday Morning Sketches #441

Some cards made just for fun

I made this card for the Unity challenge to make a green and shiny card. I went more green and glittery sparkle. The dragonflies wings are glittered and 3-d. The background was done by using green distressed ink on white cardstock. I then glued pieces of torn pages from an old encyclopedia. I then gessoed the page and stenciled using ARTplorations stencil called Circular Two I then sprayed it with water to soften some of the stencil. I then stamped the music notes, and chicken wire from  Forget the Past and Beautiful Elements. I then stamped the flowers from Everyday Fairytales and layered them and added purple glitter to centers of the flowers and silver glitter glue to the berries. I stamped the dragonfly and fussy cut him out. I watercolored the wings and added glitter. I drew raindrops by hand. I added twine and brads. I really like how this one turned out. It was super hard to photograph to show the sparkle.

I made this card using encyclopedia pages glued to background, gessoed and I added vintage photo distressed ink. I sprayed it with water and let the drips go over the background. I used stamps from
Forget the Past
Beautiful Elements
Everyday Fairytales
Let love grow
and
Here today here tomorrow
I added white acrylic paint to flowers.
I went in with a paint brush and more of the distressed ink to add some shadows. I used a black pen to define some of the edges

This close up shows some of the encyclopedia page showing through. The butterfly was watercolored and fussy cut. I stamped it twice and cut out 2 of the right hand side and glued them together.

Before putting my stamps away, I decided to make a similar card but add just a touch more color.
I also used a layer of dp with words under the panel. I also added glitter to the center of the flowers.

February STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday- Tags

For this month's STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday project.

I made two tags using
ARTplorations FLORAL FLUTES stencil.

I used a piece of orange floral designer printed cardstock. I stenciled over it with purple and blue acrylic paint I added highlights with a silver glitter glue. I then used
 CUTplorations TAG O COFFEE die
to cut out the tags. I added a rhinestone bra to the center of the flowers.
