Color Challenge 751 wildflowers- sympathy card

The color challenge on SCS CC751 I was unsure of the colors to start. I decided to do a mono print with my gel plate. I got as close as I could to the colors. The purple and two yellows were easy but the spruce color was a little harder so I took 3 paints a light blue a  sage green and a teal to try and get close.  Here is one of my mono prints.

because I stamped on acrylic paint the ink didn't want to stamp very well, but it
gave me enough of an outline to start to paint. I painted the flowers with white acrylic paint

I then water colored the flowers.

I took a white gel pen and a black ink pen to add details back in. I stamped 3 little dragonflies and a sentiment from an old Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps set called Lovely Lotus.

I made this card for a friend who lost her son this week.

Sharing with the Petals for the Pittmman's Fundraiser Blog Hop.
