Dancing in the rain

I took markers that matched the colors of the raindrops in the inspiration photo.
I watercolored with the markers onto a piece of white cardstock. I took that painted cardstock and ran it through my cuttlebug with an old fiskars texture plate. I heat embossed music in the corners with silver embossing powder. I added white acrylic paint to each raindrop. (A "c" shaped line and a dot)

I stamped Unity's -Harmony Girl. I paper pieced the coat, boots, dress and purse. She is dimensional with hot glue popping her up. I added an ombre ribbon bow in the top left hand corner. There is a layer of cheesecloth to add texture.
My card is an easel card. I love easel cards, because it forces me to "decorate" the inside of the card.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of scrap paper that had the same colors as the main panel. I drew three raindrops with grey and blue colored pencils. (Blue for the raindrops, and grey to shade the left side of each drop.) I added highlights like I did to the embossed raindrops on the front. Can you tell by looking at the photo of the inside that these 3 raindrops are flat, unlike the embossed raindrops on the front. It is hard for me to see a difference, and I have seen the card in real life.
This card is for:
