Rejoice today

I made this card on Tuesday but with the election and then the disappointing results of the election, I didn't get this posted. I did look at it all day yesterday as it sat on my desk to remind me that no matter the outward circumstances  I can rejoice because I know the Lord.  The sketch was for the sweet shop sketch SSS183 it is also for the Splitcoast stampers color challenge CC400/CC306 . The challenge was to do an older color combo. I choose to do 306. I wanted to make my roses the raspberry color, but really had a hard time getting them dyed that color. This is as close as I could get. I used a scripture digi from my Daydream Designs called Dream Team Scripture Set.  I am also entering this in the Word Art Wednesday challenge to make a thankful card.

  1. A beautiful card MariLynn - love the colours, and the flowers are really pretty. isn't it good to know that God is ultimately in control, no matter who governs our nations.

  2. Hi Marilynn: This is absolutely stunning. You must have spent a mere fortune on all those wonderful deep purple flowers. Unless.....you made them yourself, in which case - I am VERY impressed indeed, and you would have to teach me. This is just a gorgeous card, and I'm always SO blessed and excited when I see your beautiful cards linked up with us at Word Art Wednesday. I can see your love for the Lord in your beautiful art, and it just makes me SO happy. Thanks for sharing, and I really do hope you're having a wonderful week. I'm at the airport as i write this - getting ready to fly to CA for the weekend with my oldest daughter. Have a great weekend, and thanks again for sharing this beautiful creation!

I love the richeness of purple, the lace, the sewing and the beautiful flowers. Sky blue made me think of day and night...this is the Day.....
