Yesterday, Kathy left me a comment asking what metallic rub is. That was a really good question. It comes in a jar. I usually apply it by taking my finger and rubbing it in the jar and then rubbing it on my project. It is water soluble. Another way of applying it is to use a paint brush dipped in water then applied like watercoloring. It works on different porous surfaces, like wood, cardstock, or paper.

Yesterday I used copper and today I used silver. I looked at the flowers and they just said "Do faux silk technique with us." So of course I listened.

I stamped the flowers on tissue paper and then crumpled the paper up. Then I glued it to cardstock. I carefully added pink to the flowers and green to the leaves. I rubbed the silver metallic rub over the top. The wrinkles of the tissue paper really caught the rub.

I added lace and an old button. I added pearly fingernail polish to the center of the button and the centers of the flowers.

Thanks for reading through my post. I hope you enjoyed learning how I made this card. Check out what the other designers have done with this set.
