I made a floating easel card. It may not look like there is a lot of layers, like some of my cards have, but there are actually quite a few layers. The top frame had 4 layers of carstock for strength. The easel frame had 3 layers. The base of the card was a monoprinted paper on top of a card. With a floating easel there isn't much space to sign the card, so I have the easel sitting on a basic card layer.

The other way I incorporated layers was with the monoprinted piece. It had several layers of paint to get the magical look I was going for.

Corners Borders Frames - Crafting by designs

My first project I made an origami corner bookmark. I added an itty bitty card to the bookmark. I watercolored it and added glitter.

 I could have made it just a panel on the bookmark, but I wanted to have a place where you could write a message or sign. I added some mono printed paper with music notes to the inside of the itty bitty card.

I watercolored the fawn and fussy cut him out and put him on lots of layers. I used some mono printed leaf design for the layers. I framed him with kraft. I added a twine bow. 

It's a Girl Thing Sunshine

STAMPlorations

I combined that set with Blossom Like a Butterfly

and 

Trendy Butterflies

I made a magical marquee card. The blossom like a butterfly and some of the flowers from It's a Girl Thing Sunshine were stamped, colored and fussy cut. I glued them to a paper clip to make the closer for the card.

The flowers on the front of the card were each made by using 2 of the flowers from the It's a Girl thing set. I colored them and fussy cut them and I layered them. I added white paint highlights and added glitter to the centers of the flowers.

On the inside of the card the marquee opens up to reveal the little blue butterfly. That butterfly is from Trendy Butterflies. The little hearts and sentiment and heart borders are from the It's a Girl Thing set.

Crating by Designs Anything Goes Challenge 1/2-1/9

I used Digi Wish Upon A Star

I printed the digi image and watercolored with crayola markers. I masked her and stamped some music notes. I added some butterfly wings and die cut star banner. Glitter and silver metallic rub gave it a magical feel. I decided to make it an oval shaped card.

Challenge Card "Out of the Dumps"

A card to get you out of the DUMPS. I knew my friend Pam was feeling a little sad, so I challenged her to a totally random challenge between friends. I challenge her to use a tp roll, a music embossing folder that we both have, silver or gold, glitter and make it a Christmas card.  I embossed my tp roll with the music and I painted it white and added diamond glitter. I stamped and watercolored the snowmen and trees and fussy cut them out. I die cut another tp roll. I punched snowflakes out of a paper bag and added glitter and rhinestones. I finished it off with cheesecloth.  I love crafting with my friend Pam because we can start with similar supplies and get such different looks. Check out my friend Pam's card is HERE.

Fall -Winter coffee lovers blog hop gift card tag

 COFFEE BLOG HOP

I made this little snowman gift card tag using CUTplorations 

TAGS # 1 NESTING DIES

 I used the largest die to cut one tag out of paper that I monoprinted that had gold purple and teal colors. I stamped the two little snowman on the tag. I folded a piece of white cardstock and cut the tag leaving the fold a little short of the bottom part of the die so that it didn't cut the fold.

 On the white cardstock I used a scalloped punch to punch the top of the folded up edge. 

I  also punched holes on either side of the white cardstock to help hold twine.

I tied a piece of twine around the tag. 

I then stamped a little coffee cup and steam.

The little gift card fits just inside the pocket.

I glued the white gift card pocket to the back of the colored tag. I then stamped the snowmen again on white carstock and  colored and fussy cut them out.

I paper pieced the snowmen on the tag.

I added a little coffee cup for my snowman and added punched out snowflakes with glitter.

I added twine to the top of the gift card/tag.
