CASE of Helen's Card- STAMPlorations 5th birthday

STAMPlorations 5th birthday party going on all month. I am playing along with CASEing the STAMPgirls.
I CASEd this card of Helen (below)
We both used:

preview-web-stencil-073-BubbleDance
and
preview-SweetSpringWishes4x6
What I did differently is I moved the sentiment down to show more of the flower. I added cheesecloth. I outlined my bubbles with a black pen and added acrylic paint for the highlights. I added glitter to the center of the flower. I lastly added handmade stitching doodle to the base and sentiment panel.

I hope you were inspired by my CASE of Helen's card. I want to invite you to join me in CASEing the STAMPgirls. Link your project
You could be one of the 5 winners to win a $50 gift certificate to STAMPlorations.

CASE of STAMPgirl Shery - Monochromatic butterflies easel card

Part of the STAMPlorations birthday month celebration,
 is to CASE the STAMPgirls.
I normally don't CASE cards because I don't really like the results.
I try to, but my own style sneaks in and my card doesn't resemble
the card I tried to CASE. But I have decided in an attempt to broaden my style
I am going to CASE the other STAMPgirls.

I started with Sherry's card. I love the grungy look behind the butterflies.

On my card I used:

and

My card has more layers and I added a layer of cheesecloth.
I also wanted my butterflies to stand out so I added some
contrasting circles of cardstock behind them. I added brads in
the corner and made it into an easel card
with a piano keyboard

STAMPlorations 5th Birthday Celebration.- Love Today

Happy Birthday STAMPlorations. 5 years and going strong.
This next month makes 2 years being a STAMPgirl,
and I am loving every  minute of it.

All this month the STAMPgirls will be sharing 3 of their favorite projects
plus a new one just for the Birthday Celebration.
You have the opportunity to win prizes and have fantastic deals.

Let me start by saying that picking just 3 favorites was hard,
because I love all the projects I have made
 with my STAMPlorations stash.

FIRST FAVORITE PROJECT
I made this tea- box using
preview-framedteacups
and

SECOND FAVORITE PROJECT
I made the tag with

THIRD FAVORITE PROJECT
 I made this card using
BloomingBuds-preview-web

OK, now on to my new project, which I might have to say
it is possibly my new favorite. I made this easel card using

and

I used the tag die (Tag O Coffee) to cut out some floral dp.
I used the Bubble Dance stencil and a black pen.
(Can you tell by looking at my stencil, how much love it gets?)

After I stenciled the bubbles, I added highlights with white acrylic paint.
I painted a line on left of bubble and put a dot in the top right hand side.

I did the same thing to the base of the card. I didn't use all the
bubbles on the stencil, just places where I wanted it on the base.

I stamped the Blossom like a Butterfly butterfly onto a piece of cardstock.
I watercolored it and fussy cut it out.
I then shaped it over my fingers to give it a 3-d look.

I used one of the Tags # 1 Nesting dies to cut out some more of the
floral dp and black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Trendy Butterflies.
I attached these tags with twine. Also used on this card, handmade roses,
braided twine, brads, cheesecloth, pearls, pearl stick pins and clear drops.

For the inside of my card I cut a black mat and a piece of the floral dp.
I then used my old word window punch to punch out
white and black cardstock to make my piano.

I hope my projects have inspired you .

Now here is where you can have fun and join in the celebration.

Coffee on National Donut day

29541159_10216244462694822_8004581139974979584_n

This will probably be my last project for the hop because there isn't enough time in my day. I can only give up so much sleep before even coffee won't be able to help. Today is also national donut day.

Behind my little donut it looked like newsprint so made the base of my tag by taking part of my local newspaper and gluing it to card stock before cutting it out using. CUTplorations TAG O COFFEE die.

I added a folded up used tea bag. I added three little teal jewels and I added twine and a button to the coffee cup. I used two sizes of twine at the top.
If you like this TAG O COFFEE die, which is a super versatile set you can use this code at checkout for 20% off your order.

Coffee Lovers bloghop- pulled string art

Hello, today I combined my love of art with the coffee lovers bloghop.
Today it was my turn to be hostess for Splitcoaststampers MIX-Ability challenge. MIX279 is about Pulled String Art.
29541159_10216244462694822_8004581139974979584_n
Here is how my experiment with gold, red and pink acrylic paint on black cardstock turned out. I used embroidery floss as the string.

This was pink gold, green and red acrylic paint on white cardstock.
Each color was pulled separately.

I really like how the paint looks but wondered how else I could experiment. I tried string (embroidery floss) that I covered with versamark ink. I pulled the string and then covered the cardstock with embossing powder and heat embossed. Doesn't this look cool?

After I did the pulled string art, I used black stazon ink and
 SheryRuss_AnywhereTheresCoffee-preview

I stamped the cup onto the pulled string art. I had done the art on white cardstock and wanted it to go with the more vintage looking papers, so I used brown markers to dye the cup.

I added used tea bags, dyed cheesecloth, a tag with faux scrabble tiles, twine, quilled roses, pearl stick pins, and a little metal coffee cup charm
