I decided to stamp the fan and used a black marker to color it all in.
I added three quilled roses. I wanted it to tilt so I used a paper spring
underneath the back of the fan. I adhered the bottom with a black brad.

I decided to use the I love you sentiment from this set to do "chalkboard technique".
I kept the rest of it black and white for a classy look.
I used Mojo328 sketch.

Thank You

My mother took this photo of some roses that were growing in her yard this week. One of the blessings of living in a warm climate. I had ice and snow and below zero temperatures. I made some paper roses to add some color and cheer to my winter day.

I used the sketch from MOJO MONDAY 327.
Sugar Creek Hollow was to use something new. That would be the new roses I made yesterday.
The Shabby Tea Room was to use roses.
The devotion at Word Art Wednesday this week was about Thanking God. So I made a thank you card.

I used a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers set called HUGE BLOOMS.

Paper Doll Folder Tutorial

Here is the video tutorial for making a paper doll folder.

Paper dolls day 3

Day 3 of paper dolls. This outfit was a lot of fun to make. I stamped it twice once on pink and once on the striped and I cut them apart and put them together. There would have been another outfit with a striped shirt and pink pants but I messed up when fussy cutting the pants. I thought the little belt of rhinestones was a cute touch.

Make sure you check out what the other designers are doing on the Mark's Finest Papers Blog Hop.

Paper doll day 2

Another look at the paper doll and a formal dress.
I added a quilled paper rose to the dress.

Check out what the other designers have made with this paper doll and the formal dresses on the blog hop

Make sure you come back tomorrow. I will have a video tutorial on how to make a folder to store the paper dolls and dresses.

Paper doll

One of the newest sets by Mark's Finest Papers is this paper doll.
I am making a doll and a set of clothes for each of my nieces. This outfit, I added a row of rhinestones
for buttons.

I encourage you to check out the Mark's Finest Paper Blog hop that is going on to see what the design team has made using this set.

Family

This set called Family works really well with a vintage look. I stamped the image of this lady onto white cardstock. I then teabag dyed it to give it a vintage look. Then I did cracked glass technique. I then embossed the frame part with copper embossing powder. I added quilled roses, lace, a pink satin ribbon that I had painted with white and cream acrylic paint and crackle medium. I also added a page from an old encyclopedia. It has the name Lydia on it. I thought this lady looked like a Lydia. If you would like to see what the other designers for MFP have done with this stamp set, check out the blog hop that is happening HERE.

BOW HUNTING- simple Christmas card

I know CAS isn't my usual style, but this little tree from the MFP set called BOW  HUNTING, made me think that it would look great by itself with a strip of burlap and a bow. I used markers to ink up the image. I stamped the sentiment and added the textiles. Super fast and easy card, but I really like how it turned out. The blue team of designers is doing their blog hop now. Check it out HERE.

Calm? Yeah right.

This week the blue team is having their turn showcasing the newly released MFP sets for the blog hop. I know you are going to enjoy what you find there. HERE is where you start.

My project is a bookmark using the set called CALM AND WISDOM.  I made this especially for my sister. She married a man who is from Japan. Together they have 8 amazing kids. They can be a handful and every time we talk on the phone, CALM isn't not the word to describe the sounds in the background. To add to my sister's stress, she has a special needs, child, and she home-schools them all. She is teaching Calculus to her oldest and counting to her youngest.. The other day she was telling me the variety of books that she was reading to help them with their schooling. I thought she needed a bookmark to help her keep track. That is where I started with this bookmark.

I thought since my sister's kids are a mixture of two cultures, that I would mix the Calm symbol with the English writing. I also thought it would be neat to make a bookmark out of a book (Irony) So I pulled out my encyclopedia that I have been using for my projects. I found a page on mental illness. My twisted sense of humor thought that it would be funny to use with the word CALM. (I am often more on the mental side than I am the calm myself.) I paper pieced her Kimono and added a quilled rose to her hair.
