Mixed media Hearts

The Mixed media challenge at SCS MIX54.The challenge was to use mixed media and to use hearts. I used 10 on my card. 6 were cut out of an encyclopedia page. I then glued them to a piece of cardstock that I had printed the digital image of falling love. Daydream Designs LOVE ME TRUE DIGI PAPERS  I then ink spray smashed the cardstock with different blue, green and purple markers. After that was dry I splattered the cardstock with white paint and blue and green paint I traced around the hearts with a copper pen. I added quilled rose and a 3 d butterfly. The big heart was done with ink spray smash cardstock that I did faux barn board on. I traced around the edge of the heart with the copper pen. I have it layered with 3 buttons in between it and the lacy heart. Daydream Designs SENDING YOU LOVE OUTLINE I added brads, drywall tape and twine. I wasn't done with the hearts. I cut out 3 more of the faux barn board hearts and made them pop up on the inside of the card.
This shows a close up of the faux barn board heart.

This shows the splatters of paint.

Here is a view of the pop up hearts on the inside of the card.

This is what I was listening to when making my mixed media card. I will be sharing this card with Word Art Wednesday 118

  2. Marilynn,
You are so talented I am temporarily speechless. What on earth is ink spray smashed? Is it a McGyver thing? Honestly this card is a work of art. It is inspirational and very beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us today at Word Art Wednesday
