Mark’s Finest Papers

I used the gel card tutorial from scs to make my first card. I knew as soon as I saw this set that I wanted to make a gel card. I am cheap though. No one in my family uses hair gel, and I couldn't see spending money, even a couple of dollars on hair gel that would only have a tablespoon used for the card. Then I found this shampoo from Suave. It worked great for the card and my family uses shampoo. LOL. When I finished this card, all my kids had a blast playing with it. I did too. It was fun to squish the "GEL"

My second card I posted Wednesday at SCS for the sketch challenge. I repurposed an embellishment container to be my fish tank. SEE THERE IS A REASON I HOARD!!!!

  10. Great minds were thinking the same thing about the gel card for these wonderful fish! I too knew they would make a great gel card. And your idea of the embellishment container was brilliant.

  11. These are really terrific Marilynn - I am so impressed how much time and effort you put into creating such wonderful projects for us during the hops, thank you! I too love squishing the gel on the gel cards (blushing). That tile is such a cool affect too, giving it the appearance of water.

  17. I know what you mean about the gel. I made one of these cards before and ended up throwing away a whole bottle of gel. Love your projects. Nice work!

  18. Nice job on both of them, I've never been brave enough to try a gel card, too afraid of it exploding all over my workplace I guess. Great idea, turned out fab.
