I used white and black cardstock for my project. I started with the white cardstock. I made a craft foam stamp several years ago where I cut it into a mosaic pattern. I stamped that stamp into blue ink and randomly stamped the white cardstock. I filled in areas that were left with shoe polish. I then did faux barn board technique which is covering the surface of the cardstock with school glue and then while the glue is still sticky putting white acrylic paint over the glue. I have found that it works best using my finger to spread the glue and then the paint. When it dried it had a lovely textured look. I stamped the medallion over the faux barn board with black ink.I used a copper marker to add to the medallion. Then I just used a black matte and black brads to finish it off I choose not to put a sentiment on this card, but to let the textures and design speak for themselves.
