This was a very hard set for me to use. As a Christian, I don't see Buddha as anything more than a man. I do admire that he was searching for "The Truth", but I am sad that he never got to know the truth.
John 14:6
New International Version (NIV)
I made a little box to hold bags of tea. I made a band that holds the box closed. On that band I put the oriental lady from this set. I paper pieced her. I added touches of gold. I imagine that she is holding a cup of tea. I used another MFP set called Asian Delights to stamp the symbol for Hope. I colored around the edges with gold. I stamped this symbol because of a line from an old hymn. by Edward Mote in 1834:
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

I was listening to this song today as I worked on my project. I loved hearing the children's voices.
Well done MariLynn for your faith-filled statements and beautiful use of the stamps on this lovely project.
