Here is my project that I made using this set. The other day when Splitcoast Stampers had the faux tiles technique, this project started forming in my thoughts. I made the faux tile to look like the terracotta tiles that I remember from growing up in Arizona. I stamped the sunshine with black stazon and colored with prisma colored pencils. I then stamped it with versamark and added UTEE and heat embossed. While the UTEE was still hot I sprinkled gold embossing powder and added some more heat. I punched two smaller circles and covered them with UTEE and more gold ep. I layered them with buttons between each layer to add to the dimension. I added a cut out circle to the lid, added raffia and my tag. I thought the quote by Jay Leno was funny. I made the thermometer with a circle punch and word window punch. I specifically bought a jar of salsa that had a black lid. I plan to give this to one of my friends at church with a batch of homemade tortillas.
What a great project.
