Be your own kind of beautiful Intsa/blog hop

STAMPlorations is one of the sponsors of this hop.
Make sure you go check out all the wonderful art supplies at STAMPlorations.
My project for this hop is a page in my Bible Junk/Art journal. I used. STAMPlorations - ARTplorations stencil called Almost Shattered

I did a layer of blue and purple on my Gel Press.
They used the ALMOST SHATTERED  stencil with sunset colors.

Using a black sharpie marker I drew a silhouette of a worshiping woman.

I doodled some music notes and I wrote the word. "Rejoice" I added some highlights with a white gel pen.  To me someone who can rejoice no matter the circumstance is someone who has true inner beauty. It is the kind of woman I want to be.  My word for 2021 is Rejoice. I am meditating on it often.  So glad that you stopped by to see my creation. Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born missing partial or all of her second X chromosome leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities.  This condition occurs one in every 2,000 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term.  That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Prize Winners will be announced on March 13th, 2021.

22 Caring and Generous Sponsors and 12 Design Team Members are offering prizes to a commenter and card makers and they are helping bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public.  For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page.  Thank you for learning about Turner Syndrome.

My project was made with a mono print using a gel press. I loved this quote with butterflies. This inspirational project has a magnet on the back so it can be hung on a refrigerator door.

We would love to have you join our card challenge. You can be inspired by the mood boord above.
Please visit
the "It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop 2021 page to see how to become eligible for prizes.

Half Empty, Half Full, Overflowing - STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge January reminder post

 STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge

I used  these ARTplorations Stencils:

Circle Overlap

Bubbles Mini

and

Peeking Sunflowers

to make this print using my gel press.

I glued the print to a piece of cardboard cut from a cereal box. I folded and glued down the edges.

This made a fun little canvas for my  drawing.

I saw a similar drawing on a friend's facebook page. I loved the sentiment and had to draw it.

It isn't too late to enter this months STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge.

Beautiful Butterfly Box - STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge

To make this box I started with a piece of designer paper that has been in my stash for a long time. (not because I was hoarding it and not wanting to use it because I like it so much, Sometime that is the case, but this time I had it a long time because I didn't really like it.) So I thought it would be fun to print on.
I put a couple of layers of paint on the paper.

I then used ARTplorations Peeking Sunflowers Slimline Stencil for the top layer of paint.

I then using a template made a box that opens revealing 3 drawers.
I decorated the box using STAMPlorations Blossom Like a Butterfly

I made a mono print and ARTplorations Curved Play Stencil.

Because there were some places that didn't pull with the print. I traced around where the stencil was and I added some gel stick to fill them in.

When I put it in my journal I added a scrap piece that I had used to clean my gel press and brayer. I think it made a great background. I added gilding flakes to the corners.

Recently most of my artwork has been put into my bible/art journal. I made this print starting with blue and green paint then adding the wow with orang yellow and pink and

It is easily becoming my favorite stencil to use.

I put a black background in the journal and  white gel pen for the background. On the print I used a black sharpie marker to write the scripture.

    Wait for the Lord

This song sung by Shane and Shane  "I will wait for you"
based off of Psalm 130 was running around in my head.
As I was watching a friend's craft video I was playing along with the colors she used. Thanks Keri for the inspiration. Not my usual colors.  I scribbled and wrote the lyrics from the chorus on the pages.

I did that to both sides of this layout. This layout in my bible/ Junk /art journal was made by putting two bill envelopes open and back to back. I also added a smaller part of another envelope to be in the center. It gave me lots of places to journal.

I sprayed the gel stick scribbles with water and moved the pigment around. Then I used my gel press and ARTploration ALL BLOOMS stencil

Because of the fold in the envelopes you can see a previous page on the back of the left panel.

Left side. I drew the letters, then painted them white and then added stripes then changed my mind and tried to paint them white again. I kinda like the subtle texture that the stripes add.

The little journaling pages in the middle.

Back page, when I used my heat gun to dry melted the little envelope window, so I covered it with a piece of scrap paper. Looks like it was meant to be there.
