2013 calendar
I made this desktop calendar using my Daydream Designs 2013 Desktop Calendar with Scriptures I have made desk top calendars for years. I usually spend a lot of time getting the calendars just right and when I saw this digi, I knew I had to have it. It was so super easy to make the calendar part. I printed it, cut it apart and put paper clips to hold the pages together while I ran a bead of Aleene's tacky glue along the top edge. While it dried, which was about 20 mins. I made the back part. I took a gift box that was left over from Christmas I cut it to 12 1/2 inches by 7 1/2 inches.. I scored it at 1/2 inch, 5 1/2 inches, 11 inches and 12 1/2 inches. I then covered that with rose designer paper, white cardstock with border punch, pearls, hand quilled roses, ribbon and floral spray. I put glue on the back part of the calendar to attach it to the stand. I was going for a Victorian - vintage look. If you were ever thinking about making a calendar, now would be a really good time because this calendar digi is only $3.95 . Check it out HERE.
This is so pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteI never knew how to glue all the pages like this, so thanks for sharing that tidbit!!
Oh, WOW! MariLynn, this is gorgeous. I love the calendar pages mounted that way and am thrilled to learn how to glue them together so they can just be torn away. Great idea! Will definitely be trying that one out. I still want to make a masculine calendar, and this would be a great way to do it. Thanks for the inspiration and tip!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous MaruLynn - I found a free calendar to print out and have made a couple of gifts from them. Love your floral background!!
