I made this daisy bargello card for a dear friend of mine named Sue. She owns a quilt shop in our local mall, and today there was a fire in her shop. I am sickend and sorry about what she has lost due to this fire.
I made this bargello card using the sheet music for an old hymn called Help Somebody Today.
Here are the lyrics for that hymn...
Help Somebody Today
by Carrie E Breck and Charles H. Gabriel 1904
Look all around you, find someone in need, help somebody today! Though it be little, a a neighborly deed, help somebody today! Many are waiting a kind loving word, help somebody today! Thou hast a message oh let it be heard, help somebody today! Many have burdens too heavy to bear, help somebody today! Grief is the portion of some everywhere, help somebody today! Some are discourage and weary in heart, help somebody today! Someone the journey to heaven should start, help somebody today! Help somebody today, somebody along life's way; let sorrow be ended, the friendless befriended, oh help somebody today!!
My top card is for the stampin' sisters in Christ challenge to make a card with green .
Peggy Sue shared this scripture with us. Exodus 8:9-11 "Moses said to Pharaoh, 'I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.' 'Tomorrow," Pharaoh said. Moses replied, 'It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the Lord our God, The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.'"
Peggy Sue pointed out how Pharoah wanted to wait until Tomorrow. I was reminded that we are never promised tomorrow, all we have is TODAY. Today to serve the Lord!
