Coffee Lovers bloghop- pulled string art

Hello, today I combined my love of art with the coffee lovers bloghop.
Today it was my turn to be hostess for Splitcoaststampers MIX-Ability challenge. MIX279 is about Pulled String Art.

Here is how my experiment with gold, red and pink acrylic paint on black cardstock turned out. I used embroidery floss as the string.

This was pink gold, green and red acrylic paint on white cardstock.
Each color was pulled separately.

I really like how the paint looks but wondered how else I could experiment. I tried string (embroidery floss) that I covered with versamark ink. I pulled the string and then covered the cardstock with embossing powder and heat embossed. Doesn't this look cool?

After I did the pulled string art, I used black stazon ink and

I stamped the cup onto the pulled string art. I had done the art on white cardstock and wanted it to go with the more vintage looking papers, so I used brown markers to dye the cup.

I added used tea bags, dyed cheesecloth, a tag with faux scrabble tiles, twine, quilled roses, pearl stick pins, and a little metal coffee cup charm

  6. WOW, you really got some fabulous texture on this, MariLynn. Great job. No need to leave me a response here. Not sure if you aware, but people can't see them (or know about them) unless they return to this specific post and re-read comments. I would love to have you pop by my blog, though....any time. That's always a treat for sure. Have a great day, and thanks for sharing another fabulous project.
