Snowflake Christmas Tag

is happy to be participating in the

I cut the tag shape out using  the largest tag from CUTplortions TAGS # 1 NESTING DIES.
I used the little snowflake stamp from STAMPlorations WINTER MUG stamp set. I stamped it on the tag using versamark ink and sprinkled with silver embossing powder and heat set with a heat gun. I put little rhinestones in the centers of the embossed snowflakes. In my crafting stash I had a snowflake that I cut from an old Christmas card. I added pearls and cheesecloth. I wanted the tag to be really sturdy so I cut a second tag out of a toilet paper roll and glued the paper to it. I went around the edges of the tag with Silver Metallic Lustre

Stencil Sunday Love today tag

STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday,

Today I made a layered tag. The top layer started as cream cardstock. I used
CUTplorations : Tag o Coffee die set
to cut it out and added blue and green ink.
 I used
ARTplorations :Bubble Dance Stencil
bubbles stencil  and water to lift off some of  the color.
I then used the same stencil to add copper metallic rub.
I dry embossed with  an embossing folder and my cuttlebug.
I added sequins. I stamped Love Today and silhouette  butterfly from
STAMPlorations : Trendy Butterflies stamp set
I then die cut a brown and black tag. I layered a layer of
cheesecloth between the tags and tied them all together with a
black bow.

There is still time to join us for the Mixed Media Challenge where it is anything goes as long as it isn't a card and uses a stencil..

Scrap of this and that

I started the project by trying to clean off my desk of scraps.
I randomly glued the scraps down to a larger piece of scrap paper.
I then die cut out two tags.

With a little bit of this and that I created these two coordinating tags.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my blog today. I hope you have a blessed day.

Viva la Verve sketch November 2017

Sadly I needed some sympathy cards this month. I usually think of sympathy cards just for when a death has occurred, but this week got me thinking that there are lots of times that we need to give and receive sympathy. Just because life is hard.
For the Viva la Verve sketch I used

As it is with me and sketches, I try to make them like the sketch, but my crafting sometimes tweaks it a bit. I hope you can see the sketch's inspiration.

ColoriQue projects

I die cut a Pepsi can in the shape of a star.  I then ran it through my cuttlebug in an embossing folder

I then poured out some  Clearsnap ColoriQue paint. Because it was kinda "watery" I wasn't sure how it was going to go onto metal that didn't need to have any primer. I was surprised at how well it went on.

I added light colors first

After I had all the colors on I added just a little bit of black to give it an antiqued look. I then used a heat gun to heat set the paint.

I wanted to see how much coverage the paint would do because it was thin. I painted the ""Pepsi"
side of the can. You can that none of the original colors show through.

I also used the paint on some rocks that I found in my yard. I wire wrapped them when I was done.
Just a hint... when heat setting rocks, they hold the heat a lot longer than the metal does... don't ask how I came up with this hint.

You can find out more about ColoriQue paints HERE.
