Stencil Sunday for STAMPlorations - little pumpkin

Hello friends. It is not too late to join ARTplorations Mixed Media Challenge. You can link up your non-card mixed media projects. The theme is always anything mixed media goes EXCEPT a card and you must use at least one stencil (any brand) on your project. Linky closes on the 31st.

Prizes: $15 gift certificate OR choice of any 2 ARTplorations stencils to the winner
choice of 1 ARTplorations stencil to the top picks

My project for this week's stencil Sunday is this cute little pumpkin. Can you see the stencil I used? Probably not but it is there. I took a page from my  STAMPlorations COLOR BLOOMS coloring book. I water colored the page with pinks oranges and yellows. I didn't worry about coloring in the images, just did overall blotches of color. Then I took my ARTplorations MERRY GO ROUND
stencil and placed it over the colored page. I traced the stencil with a black ink pen. then I colored the triangles in with darker colors of orange and then I added inka gold metallic rub inside the triangles. I chose this stencil, because the little triangles made me think of slices of pie. Who doesn't love pumpkin pie? I then cut the page into strips. I made loops with the strips an glued them together. I added a broken bamboo skewer for the stem. I added little multi-colored pearls and some wired leaves. The finished pumpkin is about 3 inches wide and about 2 inches tall.
