I want to tell you a little bit about my projects this month. My daughter just graduated from college and is blessed to have a job teaching and running a high school library. As a way to encourage her students I am making her bookmarks that she can use as "raffle" prizes. So all my projects this month are bookmarks. I also made them all from paint chip samples that had been in my stash of paper for several years. To me art has a personal connection. These bookmarks share a little bit about who I am.

Today my bookmark used MPF set called
 HOT & SPICY
Now you might be wondering how chili peppers mean Autumn Fun to me. I was born in New Mexico and grew up in Arizona. There is nothing quite like the taste of a really good green chili. Living here in Iowa, it is hard to get a good green chili, but every fall our grocery store gets Hatch Green Chilies from New Mexico.

I used Hatch Green Chilies to make turkey enchiladas. YUM!

  1. Marilynn, your tag is so cute. I love the burlap and your little green chilies look so real. It is so sweet of you to make book markers for those students. They will work hard to win them.
