Here is my project for this week's Stencil Sunday

.
ARTplorations- Honeycomb delight stencil
STAMPlorations- Trendy Birds 2

I started with a brown piece of cardstock that had a script
design.
On the back of the cardstock I traced a little bird house template. I have had this template so long, I don't remember where I got it. I had even forgotten that I had it. I found it while cleaning through my scraps this week.

I cut it out and scored it with a stylus.

I took the ARTplorations Honeycomb Delight stencil. I traced some guidelines. With a mouse pad underneath to give it cushion I embossed the roof panels using the stencil and a stylus.

This is how it looked right after I embossed the roof panels. You can see the embossing, but it wasn't very pronounced.

I took gold metallic rub and I rubbed over the  embossed areas.

This photo shows how the metallic rub really made the embossing stand out.

I added some distressed ink over the metallic rub to add extra texture.

I die cut a circle for the door to the birdhouse.

I glued the house together. I put a bamboo skewer through the bottom of the house  I added some floral filler and quilled roses around the house.

I stamped STAMPlorations Trendy Birds 2 with black stazon ink onto red cardstock. I fussy cut out the birds and glued them to the outside of the birdhouse.

I had a blast making this project. I hope you enjoyed it. I made this collage photo to show you different sides and angles of the birdhouse.
