You are going to want to buy this coloring book. I have looked at several coloring books in the past several months. None of them could even compare to this fabulous book. You can buy your copy HERE

The page that I picked to color had 4 sections.
I painted with crayola markers and water.
I was very pleased how the paper held up to painting.
I painted the bottom two sections with pinks, yellows, reds and oranges.
I painted the top two sections with mostly blues and purples.
Since there were 4 sections, I made 4 projects.

The first project I made was a wall hanging. I used burlap, popsicle sticks, glitter, cheesecloth, quilled roses, ribbon, and a paper tole flower that was in my stash.

After I colored the page, I used black stazon ink and
STAMPlorations  MINI MIXED MEDIA BACKGROUNDS stamps

Second Project is a bookmark. I made this bookmark using half of one of the 4 sections. I used the other 1/2 to make the tag on the wall hanging and the tag on the last card.
After I colored it, I sprayed it with a gold metallic spray and ran it through my script embossing folder. I added cheesecloth, bearls and lace. I added glitter to the centers of the flowers.

Third Project is a card. I made it out of one of the top sections that I colored with blues and purple. I added punched white and black "keys", quilled flowers, leaves, lace. I used the MINI MIXED MEDIA BACKGROUNDS on this card. I also added glitter to the centers of the flowers.

My last project was this card. I cut the coloring book panel into thirds and added black matting. I added burlap and purple ribbon. I also added a tag made from the one panel I cut down.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my projects. I hope you will play along and comment. Have a Blessed Day.

SCS challenge cards

The mix-ability challenge this week was to take scrunched up paper and dip it into paint and apply to cardstock to add texture. The free 4 all challenge was to take ink directly to the paper. I combined the two challenges on the first card and only the mix challenge on the second card. The first card, I took distress inks in blues and greens and put it directly on a grunge paper. I then did the scrunched up paper with gold and copper. I did direct ink with my ukelele. I did brown distress ink directly to the paper then I did versamark directly to the papaer then added some utee.

I want to tell you a little bit about my projects this month. My daughter just graduated from college and is blessed to have a job teaching and running a high school library. As a way to encourage her students I am making her bookmarks that she can use as "raffle" prizes. So all my projects this month are bookmarks. I also made them all from paint chip samples that had been in my stash of paper for several years. To me art has a personal connection. These bookmarks share a little bit about who I am.

I hope you have enjoyed this Autumn Fun hop as much as I have had making these bookmarks. My last bookmark used MFP set called
AUTUMN SPLENDOR

HARVESTVILLE FARM is near to our home. They have events and sell produce more than just in the fall, but in the fall is when they really come alive. People come from all over to navigate their cornmaze, pick pumpkins, enjoy hayrides, sit by a bonfire and play at their non-traditional playground. It is where my kids and I go to get our pumpkins. I could go elsewhere, but since my family doesn't celebrate Halloween we don't want to carve our pumpkins, we want ours to eat, and Harvestville Farm has the best eating pumpkins.

For my bookmark today I used MFP set called
FALL APPLES
Unlike the past two days were my bookmarks needed extra explaining, I am sure that we can all relate to picking apples in the fall. APPLEBERRY Orchard is the one that my kids and I love going to. We love the taste of a warm apple doughnut on a cool morning.

Here is an apple my son picked the other day.

Fried apples and waffles... yummy...

DAFFODIL GREETINGS

AND
ANIMALS BIRTHDAYS

I featured the butterflies from this set. Fall means time to
tag Monarch butterflies through our local conservation group.
We haven't done it the past few years, but when my kids were little we all enjoyed going out, catching the butterflies and tagging them. It was a really fun activity to do in early fall.
