Contentment... replacing dissatisfaction

This card was made for the SCS color challenge.

Before starting this card, I was feeling kinda sad. I feeling dissatisfied with what I had. I was wishing I had some new stamps or new paper or new dies. Anything new.
I made the choice to be happy with what I had. I actually chose an older set to stamp with.
It was a Martha Stewart flower stamp set. I believe I bought it 8 or 9 years ago. I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing that when I bought it, I was thinking...
 "I need this stamp."
"I will use this stamp lots and lots of times."
"I will make lots of beautiful cards with it."

Of course, reality is I think I have only used this set at most 4 or 5 times. (Almost like new.)

I stamped the flower with black stazon about 15 times on white cardstock and did paper tole. I added some glitter to the centers of the flowers. The other set I used with this card was probably one of my oldest set, my SU  Itty bitty backgrounds set. I used it on the flowers and I used it with versamark and gold ep on the base of the card.
I actually like how this card turned out. Also glad that I didn't need to spend money to enjoy creating today.

  1. This turned out beautiful!! I love your awesome flowers!! Isn't it wonderful how even in our feeling sort left behind in our craft supplies the Lord can give us satisfaction in what we have :)

  2. Absolutely stunning MariLynn - I know that feeling, and at the moment I am on a roll of using some of my older stamps :-), particularly the layers of Color ones.
