I think I might have set a record for the most mfp sets used on a card. I used the following sets:
Cracked Hello
Love, Love, Love
Chicken Wire
Flaps My Wattles
Plywood
Hey Cowboy
Flamingos on Vacation
Be Wild and Free
and
Welcome Poppies
(If anyone has used more mfp sets on one card let me know and I will gladly crown you the champion)

I used the strips from the sets and put them next to eachother on my acrylic block. I used versamark ink and white ep on an encyclopedia page. I ink spray smashed on the encyclopedia page. I smashed a second encyclopedia page and stamped the silhouettes of the elephant and giraffe. I drew hearts with a black ink pen. I added cheesecloth, burlap, brads and twine.

Before I share my card for today I want to share a card I made yesterday using the sketch on Splitcoaststampers. It was a whimsical card that used
HOT and SPICY stamp set
and JUST A NOTE stamp set
I made it an easel card and I made a glittery red heart to stop the easel.

I really liked how the card turned out and I wanted to make a similar card. I decided to think outside the box. I used some paper punches. I wanted to make a flower. I punched two different scalloped circles and a bunch of hearts.

I sprayed the pieces with gold spray.

I used the same JUST A NOTE set that I used on the other card, along with cheesecloth, gold spray, burlap and red glitter.

Here is a close up of the "hearts" flower.

It was hard to capture the glitter and shimmer with a photograph so I made a video clip.

I went with a Heart project again. I used MFP- KEY STAMP SET

I stamped the heart lock and heart key with versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I water colored the flowers and added glitter to the center of the flowers. I painted the center of the hearts with inka gold metallic rub.

Contentment... replacing dissatisfaction

This card was made for the SCS color challenge.

Before starting this card, I was feeling kinda sad. I feeling dissatisfied with what I had. I was wishing I had some new stamps or new paper or new dies. Anything new.
I made the choice to be happy with what I had. I actually chose an older set to stamp with.
It was a Martha Stewart flower stamp set. I believe I bought it 8 or 9 years ago. I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing that when I bought it, I was thinking...
 "I need this stamp."
"I will use this stamp lots and lots of times."
"I will make lots of beautiful cards with it."

Of course, reality is I think I have only used this set at most 4 or 5 times. (Almost like new.)

I stamped the flower with black stazon about 15 times on white cardstock and did paper tole. I added some glitter to the centers of the flowers. The other set I used with this card was probably one of my oldest set, my SU  Itty bitty backgrounds set. I used it on the flowers and I used it with versamark and gold ep on the base of the card.
I actually like how this card turned out. Also glad that I didn't need to spend money to enjoy creating today.

When I think of hearts, I think Valentines. Even though Valentine's day has passed, I want to share the Valentine's that I sent to some of my crafting friends and the Valentine that I sent to my daughter.

I used MFP set called LOVE, LOVE, LOVE

Face in the mirror

I made this card for this week's MIX-ABILITY challenge. It was to feature a face. I took a photo from a magazine and photocopied it. I took the copy and cut it out. I used it to mask and sprayed gold spray around it to make my "mirror". I then used distress ink to give an aged look to the photocopy. I stamped the flowers and circles on the "reflection". I printed a poem that I saw on facebook.  (I tried to find out who wrote it. No copyright infringement intended. If anyone knows who wrote it let me know and I will give the author credit.) I layered with cheesecloth and added hearts, twine and glitter glue. This was a lot of fun to make.

sparkle glitter card

There are times when I catch myself thinking...if I only had more supplies, then I could really make a pretty card. Well, today, I challenged myself to make a card using basic supplies. I cut a heart out of typing paper. I traced that heart and then cut out the heart out of G45 paper. I used paper springs to make the hearts pop up. I added gold glitter glue red glitter and stella wink of gold to the flowers. I shared the video because it was so hard to capture how sparkly it really looks. I combined this week's color challenge and sketch challenges.

Quilled flower card

Unity Stamps has started a weekly facebook challenge. This week is a photo inspiration challenge.

I combined quilling and  stamping and heat embossing. I had 2 leaf stamps from Unity that I heat embossed in gold and silver and then just stamped with black. All the flowers were quilled flowers that I added silver and gold glitter glue.

These two bottles of glitter glue were an early Valentine's day gift from my husband. Some guys buy their girls chocolates, jewelry, flowers... My guy bought me glitter glue. He really gets me, and knows what makes me happy.  Here are some close up photos of the flowers.

Song in my heart-

CHALLENGES:
1.Sketch challenge on splitcoaststampers SC578
2. Simon Says: Have a Heart
3. Mod Squad- Hearts and Flowers.
4. Word Art Wednesday 219

I stamped and heat embossed with gold ep music notes from CAS-ual Fridays set called LOVE NOTES.  I added gold washi tape for the banners. Hand quilled roses, and baby's breath surround my heart. I used ink gold metallic rub on edges and added cheese cloth and drywall tape for texture. I put pearls in corners

For the # 3 panel of the sketch, I decided to use drywall tape.  When I first put it on you couldn't see it. So I added some inka gold metallic rub, but it still didn't stand out as much as I wanted it to.

So I sprayed the drywall tape area with memories mists - bright gold.

I made my card into an easel card. The sentiment "You are the song in my heart" is also from the Love Notes stamp set.
