At first when I saw this set, I was thinking, hmmm. pirates... not really my style. But as I started making this card I really started having fun with this set. I stamped the images onto a brown paper bag. I then took matches and burned the edges. I used chalk to color the map image. I heat embossed some gold ep for the "treasure" I also cut a second treasure chest and have it on a paper spring to give it some dimension
I decided to make a "Z" fold card. I did faux stitching with white colored pencil. I made this card with a particular friend in mind. She is going through a really rough time and could use some
"EncOURRRagement" (That is me trying to type Pirate)

  9. Absolutely fantastic! I love that you burned the paper. I wanted to do that but made my card too late in the evening and was too lazy to go get fire! The gold embossing for the treasure was the perfect idea!
